You Know What Sucks?
Imagine you find something that excites you. Something that captures your imagination and lets it run wild. So you go with it, and you begin to discover far more than you ever thought; far more than you could even imagine. Suddenly, you’re up late because of this, you’re cutting classes because of this, and you’re even spending less time with people because of it. It excites you, ignites you, and gets you to express yourself in ways previously unknown. As you grow in this, you find that you’ve hit your limits with what you currently have available to you, but you want more, and you know that you can do more given the chance.
So you begin to work towards that higher level, doing whatever it may take. Things are going pretty good for you, to the point that even what you need becomes easier to get to. Those around you are also beginning to recognize what is going on, and are willing to help you get there in whatever way they can. Everything is in place for you to move upwards, except you.
Now, you are pretty close. All you need is a little help from someone more capable. That someone claims that they’ll be behind you no matter what you may pursue, and they’ve needlessly proved it throughout your childish ways time and again. You figure that you may be able to at least get their help. You’re older now, you think to yourself, so hopefully they should see reason in this. So you ask… and you are declined.
In the fallout of this decision, you’re told that the same person that claims that they’re behind you in whatever you may pursue feels no importance of this goal of yours; this higher level that you are trying to move towards means nothing to them, because they see it as useless. Now the help you want from them is not the matter here; you could care less as to whether they helped or not. The problem is that this person sees your passion as useless.
That, my friends, sucks.

Doggie Style hot dogs. That’s all that needs to be said.
Night It Up 2010 with lateryears, semicoloncloseparentheses (pictured above), and Justin. Walked to it too, and we were so out of place LOL For most of the evening I was pretty sure I was the only brown guy there. Regardless, it was a pretty funny day all around. This picture bought to you by a hot dog stand known as Doggie Style hot dogs. The first thing the guy running the place asked us was “do you want doggy style?” On that gratuitously hilarious note our evening began. The back of the parking lot reaked of smelly tofu, but otherwise it was a pretty good time all around. Ran into some friends and even my Grade 11 Marketing and Accounting teacher. Probably the only teacher I’m cool with running into outside of school, because he’s a boss. Pretty awesome day.
Also, I’ve got a solid 2 weeks of 365 tumblr posts to upload, but they’re all on flickr as always.
